Career…..

Prior to that, Jackie worked for BP for 10 years, where she held a global senior manager role doing organizational  development consulting, executive coaching, organizational capability work and leadership development. During that time, she traveled all over the world working on global projects and reported to London for 2 years.

Education…

Jackie is currently working on her doctoral degree at Pepperdine Graduate School of Education & Psychology, studying organizational leadership. She earned her master’s degree in clinical psychology from Pepperdine Graduate School of Education & Psychology and has a bachelor’s degree in business management.

What Jackie does for fun…

•    Serves as the Vice President of a non-profit organization called Art & Creativity for Healing, which offers free therapeutic art classes to children & adults suffering from grief, cancer and unfortunate life circumstances.
•    Fundraising for 3 different organizations in support of serving underprivileged women and children.
•    Travel – so far to 30 countries, it helps her understand what’s going on in the world and also makes her appreciate how lucky she is to live here.

Who Jackie hangs out with…

•    People who are up to something big in the world, that are making a difference for others (in her words, “people like Julie!!!!!”)
•    People with radical opinions that teach her to see the world from a different perspective.
•    Really funny people who keep her laughing!

What Jackie collects…

•    Fossils –there is something sacred about having pieces of the earth that existed millions of years ago. The colors, shapes and mystery of them fascinate her.
•    Latin American Art – because it is bold and expressive, it makes her so aware of the sheer joy of being alive!
•    Angels – to remind her that she is never alone. There are always people who sometimes appear out of nowhere to help when she needs it.

Jackie’s favorite things….

•    Being an aunt to nine nieces and nephews
•    Walking at the beach looking for dolphins
•    Painting and making jewelry to be auctioned off for fundraising
•    The sound of a hundred violins

Jackie's self reflection…

I came into this world to love, to help others and to be in service of the advancement of humanity. That service can take many forms, but at the end of the day, if I have done something (anything) that made a difference for someone or the planet, I will sleep better knowing I served my purpose.

At the end of my life, I will have been successful if I shared my gifts with others, took many risks, tried as many things as possible, failed, succeeded and learned from all my mistakes, understood the magnitude of possibilities that everyone’s existence creates in the world, knowing we are all connected through our very DNA. To know and understand the importance of honoring yourself and others, and to love deeply and live without regrets, is to have lived each day as a joyful expression of the creation that I am. The canvas of my life will be a picture of a most delicious and juicy life, which was well spent.
